When dinosaurs date!

I envy the people that have that perfect partner sitting beside them, rubbing their toes while asking: How was your day, Honey?  Are you ready for our bath because it's all ready for you!
I know they are out there, and you people should consider yourself damn lucky because the dating world is a Jungle nowadays!  And where do you go to meet the animals?  In a cyber pond called Plenty of Fish.  In my opinion   it should be called Lots of dogs, that would be more suitable.
And I'm not saying it's all bad as I had many conversations with very nice gentlemen, but I can tell you there are a lot of frogs in that pond as well and I would never attempt kissing one of them in hopes to turn him into a Prince.
I like the old days where you would smile at someone, start talking and just get to know each other, but times have changed, or have I changed by becoming older and not being noticed anymore!?!  Might it be that people my age should be in a relationship already and not hoping for one?!
I personally think that all single people in hopes of a relationship should wear a button that says:  Hello, I'm single!  I really envision that to be a great idea and a good ice breaker.  Anyway just a thought :) What do you think?

Every Day

Live every day like it would be your last,
leave yesterday's trouble be in the past.
Keep your eyes focused on the road that's ahead,
don't ever give up but keep walking instead.

Love every day unconditionally and true,
because what you give out always comes back to you.
Never put your head to rest when you're mad,
but ask for forgiveness before going to bed.

Hope every day that you get one more chance,
to talk to your mother while holding her hand.
Help out your Vater without a delay,
because the one that gives can take away any day!

'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn-Part 2'

I enjoyed the far-out conclusion to 'Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn-Part 2' with my daughter this evening.  This movie might have the Twilight novices scratch their heads, but for all the Twi-hard fans, it is by far the best film in the series.

The vampire saga, written by Stephenie Meyers,  tells the story of a love triangle between teenager Bella Swan who is human of flesh and blood, Edward Cullen a 104-year-old vampire and Bella's childhood friend Jacob Black who belongs to a pack of werewolves.  After 3 series (Twilight, New Moon & Eclipse) packed full with heartaches, complications and drama, Bella chooses Edward's love over her friendship with Jacob and marries her vampire sweetheart.  She becomes pregnant and almost dies when delivering her half-human-half-vampire daughter.  Edward saves his wife by turning her into an immortal and that's where Breaking Dawn-Part 2 begins.

What I liked the most about this movie is that Bella appears very happy and full of life (even though she's now dead!) rather than being depressed, melancholy and with low self-esteem as she was often portrayed in the previous series.  Bella, Edward and Jacob have all worked out their differences and live seems to be good until trouble starts brewing when Bella's and Edward's beautiful daughter Renesmee gets mistaken for an immortal child.  I won't say no more, go check it out for yourself.  I'm giving this movie 2 fangs up!

My personal goal is to put a post on this blog daily.  I've been thinking numerous times throughout the day about an interesting potential topic that I could examine.  I asked for guidance from above and Karma delivered me with feedback as soon as I came home from work and rushed to the computer to check my stats!  I had 0 views, still 0 comments and as a result 0 confidence! How should I proceed from here?  Did I make the Top 10  list of the most boring blogs?  Is my site just too modest, bare and dull?  Or is it the fact that I just haven't exposed my blog sufficiently?  I've been doing a lot of reading and researching on how to become a better blogger and I might have just found my own obstacles to be the driving force that will steer me into the right direction.  So often in life, we get encouraged and feel defeated.  We need to take on the challenge and continue our path, however small  and insignificant  it might seem to us.   Keep working hard,  focus on the goal, always do your best and believe that you can do anything you put your heart into!

What do you write when your mind tells you to navigate your tired, worn out body to bed, but your conscience keeps reminding you that you had pledged to post every single day on this blog?  A promise is a promise, even to myself.

My brain has already retired for the night, so I asked my youngest daughter  if she had an idea on what I could put on my blog tonight. Jasmine wants to remind everyone that it is Anti Bullying week.  She is very proud (and so am I)  to be reading a  part of the poem "That's what bullies do" in tomorrow's school assembly.

Lets all take a stand as parents and start by listening to our children  every day and be a positive role model  that teaches respect and tolerance towards others. Demonstrate your kids proper values and ethics when they are young and behave the way you want them to behave.

STOP BULLYING NOW!

Christmas has punched in again for yet another shift of glitter and flitter, bells and elves, trees and glees, parades and charades, twinkles and sprinkles. Are you ready to shop til you drop or at least until you are broke?  According to a poll that was conducted by the Huffington Post, the average Atlantic Canadian has already spent approximately $618 on gifts this year and the season has just begun!

I decided to approach this Holiday Season different by keeping the real meaning of Christmas very close to my heart.  Instead of making my way  into the mall, I want to enjoy the beauty of the Christmas lights in the neighbors yard,  spend the time with my loved ones baking the cookies with the sprinkles and pick the perfect Yule Log to be burnt on Christmas Eve.
I want to remember the less fortunate and not just give to my own but be part of that small miracle that occurs when people open their heart and that can't be found under a tree.

Three phrases that sum up Christmas are:  Peace on Earth, Goodwill to Men, and Batteries not Included.  ~Author Unknown

God, Faith, Love, Hope and Dreams are the pillars of our little family and I designed this artifact using Chinese symbols (Hanzi) that include our names and describe in a rather unique way the legacy that I hope to pass along to my daughters.  ...because the biggest one is Love!
